|Visiting School Program|
We offer farm-based environmental education to visiting public and independent schools in the local area and from other Waldorf schools in the Pacific Northwest.
Children from local schools, including the Chimacum Pi Program, Jefferson Community School, and Swan School have initiated projects on the farm – from creating a native plant nursery to growing and harvesting food for the food bank.
In the spring of 2008, the first visit from regional Waldorf schools took place when third graders from the Olympia Waldorf School spent a day on the farm as part of their agriculture main lesson block, preparing beds and planting grains. Now an annual event with multiple Waldorf school participation, we look forward to our Jubilee Plough Day the first Thursday and Friday in October.
All who come leave with dirty hands and knees and a stronger connection to the earth and to the food they eat.
